The purpose of
the In My View … project is to raise awareness of the Sulwath Connections Landscape Project and Solway Heritage is
developing a series of interpretive panels, which promote landscape based attractions in Dumfries and Galloway.
This
project is interpreting the term nature tourism in its broadest sense by promoting attractions, which encourage ecological
and environmentally sustainable enjoyment of the landscape, in the Sulwath Connections Landscape Project area.
Solway
Heritage has also helped develop and promote a photographic competition for Sulwath Connections. Seasonal photographs
which fit the following three categories; A Working Countryside, Enjoying the Outdoors, or A Fresh Look at Nature can be submitted
along with an ‘In My View….’ strap line asking participants what they value about Dumfries and Galloway.
